Catherine Hogan, MSW, LCSW, Executive Director
Catherine is a licensed clinical social worker and certified professional educator. She has a
quest for continued knowledge, insight, and belief in the power of hope—that all combine to
help students have dreams for a better future and to experience the start of that future through
Inclusion Teaming.   Your child will want to come to every session.  Your child will build
confidence and envision possibilities.  Catherine is a former President of the CT Association of
School Social Workers and former Educational Advocate.  She is a national bullying consultant,
and Teacher of the Year.  She was a clinical supervisor at the Yale Child Study Center and is
currently a member of the NASW Committee on Ethics.  Catherine completed her
undergraduate degree phi beta cum laude at Smith College and  graduate degree the Smith
School for Social Work.  She began her career in non-visible disabilities at Smith College more
than 20 years ago.

Thomas McGovern, Program Director
Tom is the Educational Technology Director at St. Gabriel’s School and has a rich background in
working with individuals with cognitive- perceptual challenges.  Tom graduated cum laud from
University of Connecticut with a degree in Speech Communications.  Tom believes that
communications among students with differences is essential for progress, and whatever forum
and technology we can use to speed that process is a win/win for everyone.  Tom is a member
of the International Society of Technology in Education.
